I wanted to create a blog to write my ideas or thoughts about the diferents things. At the first as a devop i was try to use github pages or something similar but for me i think is to expensive, XD just 49$ year. I was thinking how to create this blog, Wordpress? a saas platform ?
umm it will be much fun if a create a virtual machine for 1$ for one month and buy a domain .com ( 0,99$ the first year ).
The main goal is that was accessible to create posts via mobile, when i’m having a coffee in the bar.
The stack:
- virtual machine with ubuntu and nginx with 1gb memory and 10Gb hd.
- gitlab as a repository using a gitlab worker deployed in the server
- Nginx as a web server
- grafana and prometheus to get metrics
- Hugo as a blog platform to create the post
- Decapcms as a content editor
